Tri Delta was founded by women, for women, in 1888 at Boston University when our Founders bravely created a new organization that would “think more of a woman’s inner character than her outward appearance.” Their vision has grown into the dynamic women’s organization we know today.
Today, Tri Delta is a network of nearly 250,000 women, and we are committed to lifelong learning through educational initiatives, transformational programming and relevant personal and professional development.
From supporting Tri Delta’s Foundation—which empowers collegiate and alumnae members through transformational programs, scholarships and emergency financial support—to supporting the life-saving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and local children’s cancer charities, Tri Deltas are passionate about serving others.
The Epsilon Omicron Chapter was founded in the fall of 2016, making it the first sorority to join NDSU in over 70 years! Tri Delta is centered on the values of truth, self sacrifice, and friendship; and focused on fostering personal growth, leadership, and new relationships. Through various yearly programming, sisterhood, philanthropic efforts, and recruitment, our chapter has grown immensely over the past nine years. One of the main purposes of Tri Delta is to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In the hope of curing childhood cancer, our members work diligently each year to raise money for a life changing cause. Through our different philanthropy events, Delta House of Pancakes (DHOP), Sincerely Yours, and our new event, Kick Out Cancer! We as college women are making a difference in the world and feel grateful to be a part of something much greater than ourselves. Throughout the past year, we have made great strides in creating a well rounded chapter and welcoming environment. At our Collegiate Leadership Conference in April of 2025 hosted by our Executive Tri Delta Office, we were awarded ‘Excellence in Community Relations’ and runner up for ‘Excellence in Membership Experience’. We are so proud of our resilience and determination to continue to improve our chapter and our members’ experiences. From the diligent work of our alumni members, we are thankful for the growth we have had since becoming a chapter at NDSU and look forward to the future as we continue to inspire women and make a difference.
